Sand Cast Jewellery

Sand cast jewellery has a unique, rustic, organic surface texture.

At Wild Thyme Jewellery I cast using molten precious metal, poured into a mold made using special casting delft sand, with added beach sand from my local Pembrokeshire beaches. A new mold is created each time, meaning the results are special one-off peices.

Ready to go rings

I usually have sand cast rings in stock for you to buy, ready to wear.

Bespoke rings

I can make a ring especially for you, where you can specify:

- the size and width

- the precious metal: silver, various gold

- any additional stones or other details

Sand choice

I tend to use sand from Freshwaterwest in Pembrokeshire as this is my favourite beach, but if you have a special beach and you would like to send me a small amount of sand from it, I can include this in your casting to add that extra special level of individuality to your jewellery.

Finish

Sand cast rings can be very textured on the outside, or only a bit, that's up to you, but they are always super-smooth on the inside, making them comfortable and a pleasure to wear.
